![]() Communications CommitteeThe Communications Committee shares information about the Chapter's activities with Chapter members and the local business and academic communities. The Committee's core activities include producing the Chapter's bimonthly eNewsletter, updating the Chapter's website and designing and implementing the Chapter's public relations and marketing efforts. The Committee provides an enjoyable way to contribute to the Chapter while networking with Committee members, other Chapter volunteers and the local ISPE organization generally. The Committee would be an ideal fit for Chapter members with an interest in community outreach and a creative flair. Writing, photography and/or graphic arts skills would be a special plus. Examples of volunteer opportunities include
Time required varies with the level of commitment but can be as little as an hour or two per month. The eNewsletter, published six times per year, is designed to inform, educate and entertain. It covers the many educational programs and social events sponsored by the Chapter throughout the year, current regulatory and legislative updates relevant to the life sciences, news items concerning local companies, technical articles written by Chapter members and an occasional "spotlight" interview with a leader in the local life sciences community. The Chapter website presents a comprehensive overview of the Chapter's activities, both past and future, and makes it easy for members and potential members to find current information about Chapter activities and register online to attend Chapter events. The Committee meets monthly, alternating face-to-face evening meetings with noontime conference calls, and always welcomes new members and fresh ideas. To join the Committee or volunteer for a short term assignment, please contact the Boston Area Chapter administrative offices at ISPE@camihq.com or complete and email the volunteer form.
