Yes, Boston we did it again! For the second year in a row, the Boston Area Chapter has been awarded the "Platinum Grand Award for Excellence and Innovation" at the ISPE Annual Meeting in Orlando. And this year we were honored with two additional awards - a stunning triple win!

Chapter Member Joyce Chiu has achieved the Certified Pharmaceutical Industry ProfessionalTM (CPIPTM) credential - with the help of the Chapter's CPIP Study Group.
CPIP Study Group participant John Spohn plans to lead the next study group, beginning this winter. "If the interest is there, I'm in," he stated, adding that the study group was the "most valuable benefit" he has ever received from a professional organization.
Neither rain, hail, snow or sleet....well, you know how the rest of it goes. Not even torrential rain could dampen the excitement generated by the Boston Area Chapter's flagship event.
Dr. Gregoire packed the house with her keynote address describing Shire's products, technologies and plans for growth in Massachusetts then introduced a distinguished panel of Shire experts.
For the third year in a row, the Product Show was preceded by a half-day GAMP Forum, also held at Gillette, designed for biopharm professionals who work to ensure reliable operation of critical computer systems while meeting regulatory requirements.
When Genzyme's Jillian Willard attended her first ISPE Boston Area Chapter Product Show she had been in the industry for just over two years and admits to finding the Show a bit "intimidating." Fast forward four years...
An overflow crowd of Members and guests turned out for the Boston Area Chapter's first-ever Oktoberfest celebration at Tommy Doyle's in Kendall Square. And we have the photos to prove it!
After a busy September and October cruising Boston Harbor and surviving an epic softball showdown with the Chapter's "Seasoned Veterans," the young Professionals look forward to an educational program at Genzyme in November.
