In This IssueThe winter months are jam-packed with a variety of Chapter activities - educational programs, career workshops, networking & more. There's plenty to interest every Member, so be sure to plan ahead for the events you don't want to miss. We'll see you there! Once again, the Chapter gathered to celebrate success and thank the many Members and volunteers who made our win possible. From the traditional Japanese opening toast to the Japanese custom of ceremonial hand clapping performed at the end of a special event, the evening was a unique and enjoyable experience for Board members. Northeastern Student Chapter Member and Poster Contest winner Sheba Goklany describes her experience at Annual Meeting as "an event to remember." Learning how to create win-win solutions in negotiation situations was the subject of this interactive, hands-on workshop sponsored by the Member Services Committee. The unbeatable combination of networking reception, plant tour and presentations, and panel discussion on an ever-popular topic drew a standing-room-only crowd to Billerica on a wintry evening in December. Area young professionals gathered at Flat Top Johnny's in Cambridge to play pool, eat good food, network and learn about the many benefits of ISPE membership. With record attendance for a YP educational event, the lecture hall at Genzyme Center was packed with attendees eager to hear from two local experts. Industry News In Brief, a regular feature of the Boston Area Chapter Newsletter, presents news items concerning companies in the pharma, biotech, medical device and related fields, with an emphasis on companies with a local presence and topics of special interest to our readers.
