The 20th Annual Product Show this year realized record attendance with 2000 visitors, over three hundred vendor booths and several first-time features and enhancements. What does an owner of the New England Patriots have in common with Product Show attendees, other than Gillette? Over 350 decided to find out... A half-day symposium and eight one-hour seminars led by respected subject matter experts drew a record turnout to Gillette the morning of the Product Show... This year the Chapter honors Boston's own André Walker, CPIP, 2010-11 Chairman of the ISPE International Board of Directors and longtime member, volunteer and enthusiastic supporter of the Boston Area Chapter. Buoyed by the success of the day's event and ready to celebrate, hundreds showed up for food, drink and Rob Gronkowski autographs at CBS Scene following the Show... Vendors preparing to exhibit at the Product Show got a sneak peek at Gillette on September 8th, plus a private luxury box viewing of the New England Patriots at practice! The Chapter held its first educational meeting of 2011-12 on risk management, a topic at the forefront of our industry that drew 100 guests to Cambridge... Remember August? The Chapter's Golf Outing succumbed to the rainiest August in recent memory and was rescheduled to October 3rd. Better late than never! Industry News In Brief, a regular feature of the Boston Area Chapter Newsletter, presents news items concerning companies in the pharma, biotech, medical device and related fields, with an emphasis on companies with a local presence and topics of special interest to our readers.
