PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Join us on Thursday, June 25th at 12 pm ET for a live webinar on Business Continuity during the New Normal. COVID-19 has changed our lives and how business is conducted not only during the initial pandemic phase but also as we transition into the recovery/re-entry phase, and beyond. What will the new normal look like? What new practices will potentially be adopted and become mainstays?
This cross-functional panel is comprised of members from engineering, operations, supply chain, finance and consulting background, working in startup environments to complex international organizations. The panel will look at the impact of COVID on business processes from their respective lens and discuss methods on how organizational teams can work together to address the current situation, the re-entry, and beyond. They will explore the impact on productivity, warehousing, manufacturing verification, operating costs to organizations now required to do the same process with more PPE. Also, they will discuss the utilization of technology, social distancing, contact tracing, and agent-based modeling. The group will also touch on the second wave. How, can we prepare?
Lastly, the group will explore deglobalization of resources and supply chain. How far and fast will the pendulum swing? Please join us for this diverse panel of industry professional for an impactful discussion on navigating business continuity in the new normal.
SPEAKERS:
Kevin Hickman, Senior Manager, Supply Chain Distribution, Gilead
Kevin has over 27 years in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical supply chain, distribution and transportation management world. His primary focus has been on operational and quality improvements while also maintaining or achieving additional cost savings through gained efficiencies. He has extensive experience setting up, qualifying, and overseeing the daily operations of in-house distribution centers & warehouses, as well as over 20 years of experience managing third party warehousing, transportation, cold-chain and contract manufacturing vendors and suppliers. He has managed distribution & logistics operations and vendors for both domestic and international customers & partners. Kevin has also qualified and implemented shipping lanes for all temperature ranges while using various active and passive solutions to meet all shipment size requirements from small parcel up to Sea Container.
For relaxation Kevin enjoys traveling, taking walks on the beach with is wife, and occasionally dusting off his art supplies to draw or paint something that catches his interest.
Pearlie Blaise, Senior Manager Cost Accounting, Bluebird Bio
Pearlie Blaise is the Senior Manager of Cost Accounting at bluebird bio leading the Accounting & Finance functions for bluebird Internal Manufacturing Organization. She has held positions of increasing responsibility in commercial manufacturing, including management accounting, cost planning, engineering, and COGS, inventory control, ERP Supply Chain and Financial Systems Implementation, and leading commercial organization’s financial forecasting and aligning operations strategies. She is an organized leader with focus on continuous improvements from a systems’ and financials lens while executing strategies that drive efficiency and profitability.
Cory Siddons, Senior Director of Manufacturing, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals
Cory Siddons is the Senior Director of Manufacturing for Alnylam Pharmaceuticals and is site head for Alnylam’s manufacturing sites in Cambridge and Norton. In that role, he is responsible for cross functional plant start-up activities and operations including manufacturing, process sciences, validation, engineering, facilities, EH&S, and materials management. Cory was previously Director of Engineering at Alnylam, responsible for process engineering, plant engineering, and automation. Prior to joining Alnylam, he also spent more than 10 years in engineering consulting, supporting clients in the US and Europe.
Niranjan Kulkarni, Director of Operations Improvement, CNiranjan Kulkarni, Ph.D., has over 15 years’ experience in business process and data modeling, process simulations, operations improvements, layout optimizations and supply chain management. He has worked with pharmaceuticals, biotech, food, chemicals, semiconductor, electronics assembly & packaging, manufacturing, and finance industries. At CRB, he leads a team of engineers, using modeling and simulations and other AI techniques to improve client outcomes.RB

Kathy Marini, Director of Business Development, CRB
Kathryn Marini is the Director of Business Development for CRB, a global design, construction, and consulting services firm with 16 offices worldwide. Kathy is responsible for identifying new business opportunities in the Biotech, Pharmaceutical and Advanced Technology sectors and serves as the firm’s primary contact for both clients and prospects in the northeast region. She is also very involved in CRB’s technical staff recruiting efforts. Before joining CRB, Kathy held similar roles with both EG Life Sciences and NNE Pharmaplan. In addition to her life sciences industry experience, Kathy has worked in numerous roles in the aerospace manufacturing sector. Kathy has been involved with ISPE for almost a decade and has volunteered to serve on the Product Show committee, the Student Development committee and most recently co-chaired the Women in Pharma® committee.
