PCI has opened their facility, offering tours of 3 newly constructed 300sf modular cGMP cleanrooms, featuring multiple cleanroom panel manufacturers, including a self-supported walkable ceiling system design. Features also include various manufacturers of cleanroom doors, HEPA terminals, walkable light fixtures, interlock doors, pass thru cabinets, automatic doors, wall protection options, process utility panels, etc. Construction, design and clean room experts will be on site to explain clean room functions, answer questions and provide insight. This is a unique opportunity to learn about different products that can go into clean rooms to suit your MFG needs.
PANELISTS:
Victoria Cowan, Operations Manager, PCI Cleanroom Contracting
Victoria Cowan is a seasoned professional with 20 years of experience in the industry. Born and raised in Colorado, she maintains strong connections to New England, as her father hails from Arlington, MA, and she fondly recalls spending her childhood summers in Maine with her family.
Victoria has a background in civil/structural engineering. To begin her career, she worked for the foremost GC in the SF Bay Area who specialized in complex pharmaceutical projects as well as other complex projects. After 5 years, she made a successful transition to a specialty trade partner. Throughout her career, Victoria has contributed to numerous high-profile projects, collaborating with organizations such as Genentech, Gilead, Gladstone, Bayer, AGC Biologics, Umoja and several other NDA clients.
During her time on the West Coast, Victoria and her team spearheaded the establishment of a design group within PCI, collaborating on intricate projects with IPD, Design-Assist, and Design-Build delivery models.
In 2021, capitalizing on her extensive industry knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit, Victoria and her team started a new venture in Colorado, launching a ground-up business for PCI to cater to the pharmaceutical and other markets in the region.
Victoria's diverse experience, spanning multiple regions and sectors, ensures a unique perspective and valuable insights to the challenges facing our industry.
Chris Cody, Director of Design Operations, CRB
Chris is the Director of Design Operations for CRBs Boston office and a licensed architect with over fifteen years of experience working on complex projects for various life sciences clients. He is skilled in integrated designs that span biotechnology, R+D, mixed-use, and commercial typologies. Possessing a strong technical mind with experience on both large and small projects, Chris' project management and organizational skills also make him adept in handling a vast array of project scales and complexities to support any client.
David Howard, Vice President, P&H Electrical
David is the Vice President and Managing Partner of Piquette & Howard Electric Service. After graduating from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1998, he began his career as an Electrical Engineer for a large MEP Engineering Firm designing a vast array of complex laboratory style projects for the Life Science and Higher Education sectors. In 2003 he decided to take over the family business, P&H Electric. Over the past 20 years, P&H Electric has grown significantly to now over 250 Engineers, Electricians and Control Specialists focusing on Life Science, Pharmaceutical, R&D, and Manufacturing types of projects.
With over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer and Master Electrician, David has been intricately involved with hundreds of Design Build, Design Assist, and traditional Design Bid Build style projects. His experience leading projects from the preconstruction stage all the way through budgeting, scheduling, procurement, installation and closeout provides projects with a unique perspective to bring new facilities to market at an accelerated rate.
Dennis Fischer, Senior Director of Project Delivery Services, CRB (Moderator)
Dennis is the Sr. Director of Project Delivery Services for CRB’s northeastern region and Canada. Offering over two decades of experience, he applies his varied field execution background as a project manager and superintendent on projects ranging from utility infrastructure programs to pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities to conceptualize project challenges, schedules, and rigging execution strategies. Preconstruction execution strategies, integrated planning and scheduling, estimation, and procurement services are Dennis’ priorities as projects are being developed with the overall buildout as his focus.
