Join MDG Boston for a forum on “Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Innovations – What’s New In Imaging” at Regis College in Weston, MA on Wednesday, March 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Advances in medical imaging reduce the need for some surgeries, reduce false negatives and reduce the total cost of care.
Mammography has dramatically reduced breast cancer mortality since becoming a recommended routine health screening. However, conventional 2D mammography missed many cancers in breasts with little radiolucent fat (dense breasts). It also required workups in women without disease due to false negatives. 3-D imaging with CT and MRI is a well-established method of medical imaging but is expensive and produces a much higher radiation dose than the new 3D mammography (breast tomosynthesis) methods.
This program will appeal to engineers, entrepreneurs and Innovators who are filling the unmet needs of clinicians for medical diagnostics through imaging, and managers and investors seeking opportunities in emerging medical imaging technology.
