WEBINAR - January 21, 2021 from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Single use technologies have been deployed in commercial pharma and biopharma operations for several years. These technologies promised gains and efficiencies in facility design, operational flexibility, reduced utility costs, and reduced changeover time. Single use solutions have largely delivered on these promises, but with these benefits there have also been unforeseen costs and possible downsides such as reduced supply chain robustness, being locked into single suppliers, and a dead-end waste stream where single use components’ ultimate destination is a landfill or incinerator.
Alejandro Kaiser will discuss the current state of these unanswered questions as well as possible paths forward to allow single use technologies to fully realize their potential. This webinar and Q&A will be of interest to facility designers and engineers, pharma and biopharma operations professionals, supply chain professionals, environmental and waste stream engineers, and anyone interested in learning more about these unanswered single use questions.
