PROGRAM SUMMARY: In the Construction industry, traditional project delivery and contracts systems are primarily built for protection of the Client’s individual interests. New methods of project delivery are being adopted to foster collaborative partnerships with key features such as shared risk and reward, collaborative decision making and control, and jointly developed and validated project goals.
Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is one of these collaborative methods distinguished by mutual respect and trust, willingness to collaborate, and open communication. In this method, key participants are bound together as equals, for the mutual benefit of all.
Come learn more about the strategy, and how it was implemented for Amgen’s highly flexible, next-generation laboratories, lab support areas, and office space, including 500 disposable technology-based pilot development labs. Key members of the Amgen’s engineering and procurement team, the A+E design team, and construction team will answer your questions in a panel style format. A significant portion of the session will be dedicated to audience participation. Don’t miss this timely topic!
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: All individuals with an interest in learning what IPD is and how to better coordinate projects with multiple stakeholders. Hear about the intricacies surrounding the process of drawing up contracts, working with clients or contractors, and executing on the project.
