A Full House at the Student Career Workshop

On Saturday, February 3rd, local biopharma students gathered for the annual Student Career Workshop. The day kicked off with icebreakers and interview questions with Dave Novak (IPS), a Past-President of ISPE, followed by a panel discussion about Roles in Pharma and Biotech with Industry Leaders Sharad Sharma (Sanofi), Sean Keenan (Moderna), Jeff Kelly (Blue Ocean Life Sciences), Yolanda McLean (Alnylam), Ryan Mazur (Genesis AEC), and Brian Hagopian (Clearwater Consulting, ISPE Past-President) (Moderator). After a lunch social with the Emerging Leaders Committee, students then went into an afternoon of workshops. Career Path Mapping with Luz Frazier (LeadHumano), Mastering Self Marketing with Sophia Panova (SO-ZHA Architects), and Building Business Relationships with Jayne Mattson. The day finished with poster presentations from a few students, sharing projects they’re working on, as well as committee resource tables, where our Chapter Committees provided information to the students about what each committee does and ways students can get more involved.
