Women in Pharma at ISPE Boston Re-Connects & New Job Announcements!

After a year plus and a postponement due to inclement weather; FINALLY… on Wednesday March 16, 2022, Women in Pharma (WIP) ISPE Boston held their first in-person committee meeting at Summer Shack. A great time was had by all. A lot of laughs, catching up with old friends, and the opportunity to reconnect with new folks we had only met on zoom. The vibe was great, food was delicious, but the conversation was the most scrumptious part of the meal. Being together and spending some quality time chatting was something that the WIP ISPE Boston Committee has been severely lacking during our past two years of zoom calls. We had a very impressive group attendance including, Cara the Rockstar, Shannon the Viking, Brooke the Fabulous, Olesya the Rainbow Fashionista, Aaron Bober the Steadfast WIP ISPE Boston supporter (and he has the t-shirt to prove it), and my amazing co-chair Ms. She has found her Aloha, Yolanda Mclean. (pictured below)

The group did discuss everything from business, WIP ISPE Boston event planning, tattoos, Vegas, the harmonic version of Billy Joel’s piano man, how sushi chopstick passing should be considered a team Olympic sport, just to name a few topics of conversation.

Just a reminder, we are always looking for new faces to join us at our events and/or get involved in our committee. All are welcome! Next committee meeting is April 13th.

During the evening we took time to recognize some of our WIP ISPE Boston Members who have had a recent change in jobs. There have been several including:

Katherine Leitch – Founding ISPE Boston WIP Chair and now Vice President of Manufacturing, Sciences and Technology at Seres Therapeutics

Olesya Jaganathan – Now the Associate Director, Regulatory Project Management at Arcus Biosciences.

Cara Zipoli – Just started her new role at Senior Contract Administrator at Adagio Therapeutics.

We are VERY excited for this spring summer WIP ISPE Boston Upcoming Events! The committee is working very hard on planning several events; including the long awaited multi-requested (even more then Rick Springfield’s Jessie Girl in 1981) WIP Walks! We will be hosting several WIP Walks over the Spring. Summer, and Fall seasons. All you have to do is put your sneakers on and join us for a walk. Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming registration.

Also, on April 19th we will be hosting our first in a long time in-person networking event at the CRB Offices with light refreshments, games, beverages, and networking of course!. Then on May 11th, join WIP ISPE Boston’s very own Brooke Cote for a DIY Succulent Plant Party at Anchorline. (This event will be capped at 25 people). Details and registration for both to open soon.
