The Career Panel and Networking Event was hosted by Northeastern University’s Graduate Women in Science and Engineering, ISPE Boston’s Ethnocultural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and ISPE Boston’s Student Development Committee at Northeastern University. The event was attended by both undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in the biotech and pharma industries.
During the event, young professionals who were part of the panel shared their personal experiences in career development and leadership, as well as the importance of networking. The attendees, who were mostly students, had the opportunity to network with the panelists and ask for advice on how to succeed in their careers. For some students, it was their first time networking, but the presence of their classmates made them feel more confident. In addition, attendees celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with traditional food such as Argentinian empanadas, and the event was decorated according to theme.
Thank you to the young professional panelists: James Sinoimeri, Marisa Sposato, Silas Tamufor, Emily Ortega, and Victor Szeto for sharing your experiences and inspiring us. We would also like to thank the team of G-WISE for their collaboration in organizing this event, especially Aditi Doshi, our moderator.
If you are a student interested in volunteering, you can join the Student Development or EDEI Committee.
