Free Bioengineering Symposium at UNH on May 10

The 2017 University of New Hampshire Bioengineering Symposium on Wednesday, May 10 is a full-day event featuring several talks by invited speakers in key areas that are at the forefront of cutting-edge research worldwide and broadly represent the field of bioengineering. Topics include:
- Engineering Total Joint Replacements;
- In Vitro Models of Tissue Morphogenesis and Disease for Regenerative Medicine, Drug Discovery, and Treatment Applications;
- Biomolecular Structure Prediction, Docking & Design; and
- Building Immunity with Biomaterials
The purpose of the symposium is to provide a platform for mutual discussion and dialogue with student participation; and catalyze potential collaborations among UNH faculty and experts from other successful chemical/bioengineering programs. The talks are meant to inspire members of the UNH community by broadening their research perspectives. A key goal of the symposium is to expose our undergraduate and graduate student population to research in bioengineering that is revolutionizing medicine and healthcare.
The symposium program will begin at 10:00am in Room S145, Kingsbury Hall and will continue until 5:00pm with appropriate breaks and refreshments, including a light lunch. A student poster session will be held from 12:15pm-2:00pm in the Kingsbury Hall Courtyard where graduate and advanced undergraduate students will present their research work in various areas of bioengineering.
